Personalized Instruction We’ll chat before your lesson to discuss your goals and tailor lessons to your needs and requests. When we meet I will assess your skill level and provide personalized coaching. Areas of focus may include any combination of the following:
Mechanics (technical and tactical) – grip, stance, footwork, swing
Shot development – dinks, serves, volleys, returns of serve, resets, lobs, overheads
Strategy – shot selection, pattern-making, assessing opponent weaknesses
Teamwork – communication, court positioning, signaling, stacking
Rules – scorekeeping, how to use the rules to your advantage
Practice & Feedback We will engage in drills and practice different shots with guided feedback to reinforce learning and improve your game. I will suggest drills and “homework” you can practice on your own between sessions.
Strategy & Improvement We will discuss game strategies and you will receive actionable advice and personalized tips to help you progress and enjoy the game more.
Mental Game Pickleball is so engaging not just because of the physical aspects, but also because it is a very mental game (a bit like chess and poker combined with tennis, badminton and pickleball). The mental challenges increase as players from social recreational play to competitive tournament play. We will discuss strategies for maintaining and developing mental focus, calm and a positive outlook so that you will feel confident and relaxed on the court in any situation.
Fun There are many reasons pickleball is so popular – a few being that it is a social sport, and very fun to play! Come join the rest of us who have found the benefits and joy of pickleball by learning this great game – you will feel great as you develop new skills, make new friends, improve your health and enjoy a lifelong sport.
Absolutely! Group lessons are a fun and cost-effective way to improve your skills together with friends or family. Often doubles partners like to take lessons together to prepare for tournaments. Groups of 2, 3 or 4 students are ideal for small group lessons. We’ll chat before your lesson to determine whether you’d like to work privately or with a small semi-private group. Contact me to discuss planning pickleball clinics and events for larger groups such as parties or corporate events.
That depends on your goals and needs! To get a good introduction to the basics of pickleball, a 4-lesson package is a great way to get started. If you're ready to commit and take things to the highest level, an 8-lesson package is the way to go. Contact me for package rates.
60 Minutes Private: $75 Semi-Private: $45 per person

Special Events Contact me to discuss how I can help you organize and facilitate a fun social or corporate team-building pickleball event for your group.
Payment can be made by Zelle or Applecash prior to your lesson to hold your spot. If you need to cancel, please text at least 24 hours prior to your lesson start time. If cancellation is within less than 24 hours of your lesson time and your spot cannot be filled, a $20 court reservation fee will be charged.
Lessons can take place in NE Seattle at various outdoor court locations (primary locations currently are Bitter Lake and Ingraham High School) or indoors at The Lodge in Kenmore with an additional court reservation fee. Other locations are possible depending on court availability; the farther in advance lessons are booked the easier it is to reserve courts at the student’s desired location and time.
Call, text or email me so we can arrange a time to talk about what you're looking for and get you scheduled!
